Hi everyone,

This is a long post and I'm hoping someone can give me reassurances. This is my second pregnancy. First one was a chemical pregnancy where we found out very late and i thought i was 6 weeks pregnant but it had ended long ago. My hcg levels this pregnancy also have not been great from the start beginning at 147 on 22th December and 360 two days later but then they slowed to 730 on 28th when the test was done after four days. The doctor has asked me to rest and take duphaston. She hasn't asked me to have a fourth test done. However, since last two days I have a bad adiating pain where the left ovary is. The pain stops at times but a dull ache is there..I get this sort of pain when I have a small cyst or when I'm about to ovulate..It goes down to the left leg but mainly its in the upper left thigh. I've talked to my doctor and she couldn't see anything on the ultrasound at 5 weeks.she has asked me to wait and rest. Also, I had increasing nausea at four weeks to the point where I had to stop having tea.. but it has stopped since this past week..My husband has strictly asked me not to move around and just be on the bed. Its very hard not to worry about another chemical or an ectopic..Has anyone been in a similar situation? Any positive stories please?

I cant advise you on wether your pregnancy will be successful or not but regarding the pain I had right sided cramps/dull ache around 6 weeks-8 weeks and also had some spotting at 8 weeks,I'm 21 weeks now, so not all pain is bad. I understand your anxiet, early pregnancy after a loss is difficult.

Thanks for replying. I just a little alone thinking the next week is going to be very long in bed not knowing what's going to happen.

@sabat I am in the 2WW now and experiencing the same pain and wondering if it’s implantation pain or hormones and either way hopefully sign of pregnancy. On the other hand dreading it may be ectopic 🙁 may i ask what happened with you in the end or what did your Dr tell you it may be? Hope all is well. Xx

Go to the early pregnancy unit at your local a and e get it checked out. If it is eptopic it could be really dangerous.

I think it's way too early to assume ectopic - @MummyDiaries is still in the 2ww, hasn't tested positive yet so there can't be anything there surely? An ectopic is when the fertilised egg has implanted in a tube, and HCG would be produced.
Have you tested positive, @MummyDiaries ?

Hi @MummyDiaries 2ww is very very early. The pain I had was from a corpus luteum cyst which basically supports the pregnancy. It wasn't ectopic but I unfortunately I miscarried at 8 weeks but the pain was not related to the miscarriage. I know it's hard but most pains are just the body adjusting...as long as there is no spotting or bleeding just give time to your body to adjust to the little tiny bean. Best of luck and keep us posted :)

Thanks for coming back all. I tested this morning at 10dp5dt and unfortunately it’s negative 😔 but I guess nothing to worry about either now..
