just read a thread in childbirth. the OP asked whether her fanjo would ever be the same again.

some answered yay. some nay. all said their boobs never the same.

i won't lie. i'm gutted.

they're already stretched beyond belief. went from c cup to an f in first three months.

oh please please please MN'ers...tell me that top secret tip for getting pre-baby boobs back post baby.

or tell me it's not going to be that bad.

or join me in a moment of mourning. amen

I'm very sorry but they'll never be the same again

i am still bf so i dont have to see what happens to them

chloemegjess · 22/12/2007 00:25

I heard that if you breastfeed, it doesn't make them change back, but it does prolong the amount of time you have left with them! I guess because they don't go down in size till you finish breasfeeding, and even then, you are likely to reduce it slowly so they won't have such a trastic change.

Mine were definatly not as grapefruity-round as they were, but they kept most of their fulness and no droopage either. But, I didn't breastfeed for long so not sure if that made a difference.

I can honastly say whilst wearing my lovely rigby and peller sexy bras, they didn't look any different at all.

I am on my second pregnancy now and have my huge round boobs back now, but hoping to breastfeed for longer this time - not sure how that'll effect them

A friend of mine who has not yet had children but has small boobs goes to Body Pump and whilst her boobs are no bigger, because the muscle tone is so good in that area, she now has a really nice cleavage. I am thinking that if mine are not too nice after this baby, I may try body pump.

I'm mourning my tits. I used to be a pert 36D. After 3 kids in 5 years, going up to a 40F, breastfeeding for a total of 2 years ( not all at once ) and then losing 2 and a half stone after I'd had the kids, my tits have gone back to a 36D but are now hanging round my belly button and are all crepey. It sucks. I hate them. If I had the money i'd get them done.

My boobs are fine, it's the stomach that's a sickener.

Bky · 22/12/2007 14:18

Mine were never the same again, pretty much same bra size but they felt (and looked) a bit empty not firm like they used to.

Am currently 28 weeks pregnant again and loving having big round boobs again for a few months.

frances123 · 22/12/2007 16:34

mine went back to normal after stopping expressing though I only went up one cup size

moljam · 22/12/2007 16:36

i had small boobs to begin with no nothing at all!all gone!!i think i may well be inverted.

PaulaYatesbiggestfan · 22/12/2007 16:37

i think they do go back - i had babies youngish and again when older
i think it takes years not months but they do shrink back and firm up
for me the stretch marks ruined them - only really got them on boobs but when i am very thin the skin looks about 190 years old
when i put a bit on they look fine though
dont despair - things will get better

FrannyandZooey · 22/12/2007 16:38

they honestly did get better for me a few months or so after stopping breastfeeding (and I breastfed for YEARS). I put on a bit of weight and they filled out a little bit. Tbh they were never much to write home about. Try to concentrate on other parts of you that are not so ephemeral - your nice smile, your happy disposition, etc

BeeWiseMen · 22/12/2007 16:40

mine are just like they were before only a cup size bigger which is a pain because because they were a bit too big for my liking before I got pregnant. And actually the fanjo is just fine despite an episiotomy and the belly is ok too though it was always a bit wobbly . Either I'm misremembering what my body was like before or perhaps I dreamt being pregnant???? DD 6mo.

CarGirl · 22/12/2007 16:45

my tummy & boobs are trashed and beyond repair unless we spend vast amounts of money on them, and I would if I could. sorry. They recovered after eldest dc absolutely fine & really quickly - not so the next one but perhaps it was becase she was much bigger and I was 6 years older???

debinaustria · 22/12/2007 20:30

Mine are lovely and round again but I'm 16 weeks pregnant. After my pregnancies, when I stopped bfeeding they were like balloons which were about half deflated!

systemsaddict · 22/12/2007 21:01

I expected mine to end up bigger but they SHRANK! I had a v. disappointing afternoon a couple of weeks after stopping bfeeding, going through my much-missed expensive collection of underwired bras and realising they were all too big ... fortunately was pregnant again a week later so don't have to face that again for another couple of years. Then there's going to be lots of money on expensive underwear, I'm a big believer in the power of the perfectly-fitted bra, am saving already! Roll on 2010!!

LoveAngelGabriel · 22/12/2007 21:33

My tits have stretch marks and are slightly saggier - after stretching from pert 34B to humungous 40E, they have setlled to a slightly less upright 36D - to be expected, I guess. It's my stomach I'm most gutted about, though

Your body will be different afterwards, but exercise can minimise the damage (wish I could put that knowledge into practice, she says, as she wolfs down another chocolate and stretches out on sofa )

BroccoliSpears · 22/12/2007 21:41

I had to mourn my pregnancy / breastfeeding boobs when I finally stopped bfing dd and remembered that - oh yeh - I have teeny weeny boobs . Like ping-pong balls in a (very small) sock.

Hurredly got pregnant again and have cheerfully welcomed back the nice round perky boobs I foolishly now consider to be my "real" boobs.

I'll just have to keep having babies. Or bf until the next one is leaving for university.
