32 weeks Baby not emptying bladder?

Hi all

I’ve just been for 32 weeks scan and the midwife said baby bladder was large and not emptying so had three scans in about 35 mins and he still didn’t empty? Said his kidneys looked normal? She didn’t seem massively concerned and said I’ll have to wait for referral to fetal medicines for a scan but unsure on when that’ll be so I’m guessing it’s not a something seen as urgent? (I thought it would be seen as urgent) has anyone else had this happen? How often to fetuses empty their bladders? My mind is on overdrive now 🤦🏼‍♀️

I had this with my DD.
They said it is not urgent because amniotic fluid is at normal level. There is a risk of it dropping.
It is a very common occurrence and usually nothing major.
If it was severe they can do tests like an amniocentesis. And a procedure to stop kidney damage.
In DDs case she had a very small urethra tube. She is prone to cystitis even now at 32.
