Possible Labour signs? 37+6

I've been awake since 4.30am with period like cramps that are consistant so I'm not sure if this is the first signs, they didn't come and go. Baby has also been moving an awful lot and my belly feels tight. I've had some diarrhea this morning as I felt the urge to go but I've also had diarrhea for a few weeks now. I was slightly wet down there this morning but only slightly. I have my 38 weeks midwife appointment tomo so may wait until then. Could this just be braxton hicks stepping it up a notch? Xx

I hope your doing okay? If you've had any kind of wetness I would definitely go get checked out by your midwife just to be on the safe side. When I was 38 weeks pregnant I had a gush of fluid, it ended up being my hind waters breaking and I didn't go into labour until I was 11 days overdue but at least they checked that everything with the baby was okay. Everything you've said sounds like the start of labour and if you didn't have any leaking I'd say wait but you could be at risk of infection if you waters have broken.
