Feeling AWFUL at 35 + 6 - Tell me your woes!

I've total insomnia - only sleeping three or four hours a night. Plus, acid reflux is so bad that I constantly have burning in my throat and bile in my mouth. I have rhinitis, so I can't breathe through my nose at night, and my lips and mouth are all parched. I have pelvic girdle, so can't walk properly. And to top it all off, I have inflammatory bowel disease that seems to be coming weirdly active - I'm still getting constipation but lots of pain accompanying it. I can't get comfortable as my back is so sore as well. Honestly, the thought of another four weeks of this!

Anyone else? Tell me your woes!

31 weeks and I feel you! Pelvic girdle pain, back ache, awful heartburn, cruel insomnia and crohns disease to top it all off!! Grin I am missing the rhinitis from your bingo card ;) I don't know what we can do but wait... thinking of 9+ weeks of this is a bit daunting indeed. You are not alone! :)

It's just so miserable. And the acid reflux is so horrible. I just had to spit out bile from my mouth. That is seriously disgusting.

I didn't get as far as 35+6 as my baby was born at 35+2 but I did have awful acid reflux and really feel your pain. Omeprazole sorted it for me within hours. If I missed a pill or took it too late in the day, I knew about it but if I took it regularly it almost completely got rid of it. Ask your midwife or GP for a prescription - worth its weight in gold!

I'm 39 weeks and can't get comfortable with this solid lump of a belly in front of me. Plus I feel like I'm constantly being punched in the crotch!

Counting down the days now! Can't wait until little one decides it's time to pop out

Flopsy88 · 31/12/2021 07:50

Totally agree with @Cindercat I'm 33+4 and started Omeprazole a couple of weeks ago. It is amazing! I haven't touched the Gaviscon since. I wish I'd phoned the GP sooner rather than suffering for ages
