Period late. White line on pregnancy test came up immediately

My period was due on Christmas Day, it didn’t arrive. Last night we had sex and I had some bleeding immediately following sex I thought it was the start of my period however it stopped and it’s been over 24 hours and Iv had nothing more so took a first response test when my urine went up the test a white line appeared where the positive line would have been, as the test developed I could see a sort of shadow where the line would be but it wasn’t enough to say I can actually see a line there. I got a box of two so will take the other tomorrow if still not period. But surly by now a strong line would show?? Breasts very sore. I’m
Very tired needing naps every day. I feel it’s possible but maybe just pms. Anyone had a late period but negative tests and been pregnant???

If you’re 4 days past your due date then you would usually expect to get a positive test by now. But our bodies aren’t an exact science and until you period actually arrives you are still in with a chance for a positive result.

Thanks everyone my toddler woke up at 5am so I had to pee then, I will wait as long as I can to pee again and take my next test then and see what that says

A white line came up again immediately and looked like it may turn pink but it hasn’t. 16dpo and a huge big fat negative

The times my period was late and I got negatives, I wasn’t pregnant and I can only assume I ovulated later than normal.

I can’t see anything on that test. Sorry OP.
