Hi everyone.
I'm currently 8 weeks 4 days pregnant. This is my very first pregnancy.
After going back and forth on keeping the baby, I had decided to keep it and quit all hazardous things, went on prenatal vitamins and did everything the right way.
The day after my intake at the obstetrician I had to go back to the gynaecologist to discuss my decision with them. They told me my baby had not grown. This was at 7+4
The placenta was measuring too large, as did the gestational sac. The baby was this scrawny little thing that should have had a heartbeat and little stubs where the limbs would grow. Instead I had a picture of a sonogram with a pretty much empty uterus.
They told me I was going to miscarry and had three options: take the pill to induce a ''labor'', abortion by curettage or wait until my body does its job.
They gave me 5 days to think it over and I went back at 8+2. As she put the sonogram in and moved it around we saw that the gestational sac wasn't that empty anymore.
Baby had grown and had a little tiny heartbeat.
Baby was measuring very small for gestational age and placenta and amniotic sac still too large.
Are there any success stories? Should I be extremely worried for chromosomal anomalies?
Could this be cause I'm a chronic kidney patient? Could it be a missed twin?
I have to go back again at 9+2 and I guess we'll see but asking can't hurt!
Thanks for reading and for answering
