You would think with this pregnancy being baby #5 I would know the ins and outs of everything by now but this is a new one on me. I'm 12+2 and I've woken at 3am this morning with bad light headedness, it's there wether I'm sat, stood, laying etc I've also got on and off headaches. I'm a natural worrier but I'm more worried as I'm a high risk pregnancy due to family medical problems such as blood pressure, diabetes, blood clots among other things.

I know the natural thing would be to call my GP which I'm going to do at 8am but it's their first day back after the Xmas holidays and I know the phone lines are going to be jammed and the chances of getting an appointment are going to be slim to none. I was due in work at 6am but have had to tell them I can't come in, I can't drive feeling like this to get to work so have no choice but to take the day off and now I feel guilty for letting them down. Anybody else had this at this stage of pregnancy and all been OK or is it something I need to worry about.

FYI I do have very slight low iron, low end of normal range is 115 and mine is 113 so barely anaemic so can't see it being that causing it.

Take the day off and get blood pressure checked out /general check.

In the meantime water and salty snacks

I have low BP and this sounds like me most of my pregnancy

Thank you for your advice, I do drink plenty through the day and one of my cravings is salty food so I don't think I'm lacking in that department lol. If I can't get an app with my GP then I'll try my MW but she can be a nightmare to get hold of.

Your local pharmacy might check your bp.
