Waters broke at 35+4 weeks

Hi, my waters broke on Christmas Eve at 35+ 4 weeks and I have had no contractions at all.
I went to hospital and was kept in Christmas day and boxing day. Sent home with antibiotics and back in every few days for bloods. They won't induce until I'm 37+ weeks, which is scheduled for next Thursday. I just wondered if others could share their stories as I'm so worried about being left so long. This is baby number 3, I was induced with my others for lack of growth. This one was growing beautifully but now this has happened. I'm so worried something bad is going to happen.
Thanks 😊

Someone will be along with proper advice shortly but didnt want to leave you hanging.

I would not be happy being left 10 days + without induction. At all.
I think its fair for you to be concerned

Hav enough spoken to your midwife?
Are they giving you extra scans? Or monitoring of baby?

My waters break early. First was at 23 weeks and I went to 29 weeks. 2nd broke at 35 weeks and had baby the same day. 3rd broke at 29 weeks and born a week later. I think, as long as baby is ok(not distressed, has enough water around them, no sign of infection) then they let you carry on. I’m 30 weeks now and waiting for the drama to start again!

All babies were fine, I should add. Earliest 2 did a stay in the nicu but are all good

Waters went at 29 weeks with my first, no contractions although was told baby likely to come within 72 hours so had steroids and was admitted. Baby stayed put and I went home with antibiotics, had CTG monitoring and bloods 3x a week until 34 weeks when I was induced. Consultant advised risk of prematurity was outweighed by risk of infection by that gestation and baby was safer out - so understand your concern and would be asking why waiting was advisable.

Wishing you all the best.
