Maternity Triage Frimley Park Hospital or Wexham Park?

I am 23 weeks pregnant and have had to go into maternity triage at Frimley Park Hospital 4 times in the last few weeks because of bleeding. Each time the wait to be seen has been about 4 hours. Is this the case with Wexham park hospital too? When I had my first son at Wexham the wait at triage was never longer than an hour. Is a 4 hour wait at Maternity Triage a norm now? If this is the case only with Frimley Park I might change hospitals. What has your experience of maternity triage at Wexham been like recently?

So just to give you an overview of my experience under wexham so far:

  1. I went in for reduced movements a few weeks ago around 7pm and was in and out within 1-2 hours if that but triage was dead (I think I saw 2 other couples while I was waiting) so I think I was lucky.
  1. For an antenatal clinic appointment - I was seen an hour after my appointment time. The waiting room was packed!
  1. I had to see a consultant after a growth scan and was there 3 hours waiting to be seen & got out after 4 hours. A friend at another hospital nearby waited 6 hours in the latter scenario. When I mentioned all the above to my midwife she said that there is always quite a wait in MAC so was to be expected! Once again waiting room was PACKED - like people standing, a couple of women were there obviously in labour and were in the waiting room for at least 30 mins (not sure if this is normal?)

In all honesty - I think this is an issue across the majority of maternity departments at the moment, because of cuts but also quite a few people were off due to covid apparently! My midwife has said that Wexham is incredibly popular especially with out of area patients so I do think it’s very busy! I personally wouldn’t move if you are otherwise happy with your care. Hope this helps some!

Thanks @Amtheyest17 for the details shared. I guess this is the state of affairs everywhere these days.
