3rd trimester hit me like a ton of bricks and been really struggling with mental health / depression & anxiety so much so that it feels physical.. just crying all the time out of nowhere , can’t see any joy or light at end or tunnel.. can’t bond with my baby etc

Am under care or psych & will Discuss starting meds after birth - but genuinely can’t imagine not feeling rhis way now
Each day feels like a lifetime

Wondering if any of this could be hormonal & if anyone else felt like this & then felt better after birth ?

Hi :) I am only 26 weeks but feel exactly the same. I’m afraid I am unable to offer any reassurance but I did read numbers times on mumsnet that for some ladies the nxiety has lifted as soon as they gave birth. I do hope it will happen to both of us too xx

Me! Almost as soon as the baby was out I felt like the weight of the world had lifted!
Hang in there, it gets much better Thanks

Me! There was a similar thread the other day but effectively I felt exactly the same as you do now, and the whole black cloud lifted immediately when she was born. Good luck x
