Shoulder tip pain

I should be 7 weeks but I'm beginning to think something is pretty wrong. I've had very little symptoms and now I've got the shoulder tip pain. I'm not bleeding but I'm on progesterone pessaries so they would repress that. I've got a scan on Thursday so I'll find out then but obviously I'm really worried right now.

Personally if I was experiencing shoulder tip pain I would be phoning the GP or midwives or someone for advice, I don't think I would be comfortable waiting until Thursday in case it was something serious.

It's probably nothing...

BUT it can be a symptom of internal bleeding from an ectopic pregancy so you really need to get it checked out today.

Call your midwife or the EPU. As others said it can be a symptom of ectopic pregnancy, but that doesn't mean it is for you. You are best off getting it checked out just in case, you are not wasting anyone's time.

I had this quite early on in pregnancy, had no bleeding, but had pain in tip of shoulder, also top or arm close to tip and then also between shoulder blade, I was so worried. It was a few weeks of my 12 week scan and from experience hospital would only c me if bleeding heavily, so I booked a pravite scan. Thankfully all was ok and baby was fine and in right position. I would definitely get checked though. Good luck

I don't have a midwife and my epu are not great and they wouldn't see me before Thursday anyway.

You need to go to the hospital to get checked out today. I'm sorry but do not wait until Thursday

OP, go to A&E if you’re pregnant and having shoulder tip pain. I wouldn’t be waiting around til Thursday as shoulder tip pain can be an indicator that there’s already some internal bleeding. I would go to A&E today.
