24 weeks pregnant and side/hip pain

Hi!

I'm 24+1 weeks pregnant with my first. I've been having pain in both sides the last few weeks, mainly through the night. It starts on one side and I usually wake groaning in pain. I turn over and it eases then it will eventually start again on the other side. Sometimes I get up and move around and it does seem to ease. I don't usually get it in the day either but I have today. Sometimes it's sharp pain and today it feels like a deep ache right in my hips. Does anyone else have this? I've had a Google and it seems to be normal. It says it could be round ligament pain. Any advice on how to ease it would be much appreciated. I have my 24 week appointment on the 31st so I'll mention it then as well.

Thanks in advance! 🙂

Im 32 weeks now and have had this for several months - I don't have anything useful to add sorry as nothing I've done has helped! (Pregnancy pillow, mattress topper, paracetamol). It's been a long time since I've had a good night's sleep. I generally get through to 1/2am before the having to wake and turn hourly and then around 4/5am both sides have become too sore to get back to sleep :(

@KiwiDramaQueen Yes I tend to have a decent stint when I go to sleep then toss and turn from about 3/4am. I haven't tried paracetamol or anything yet. Maybe I should!

Thanks for replying anyway! At least it's a relief to know it's normal 🙂
