Could I be pregnant?

I’ve been having a LOT of symptoms but took one test and it was negative, but if I AM pregnant, I’d be around 10 weeks, which brings the possibility of the hook effect as it was also an 88 cent test and I added way more urine than I was supposed to. Someone help, I’m not sure what to do.

symptoms
cramping
nausea (mainly after eating or if i’m hungry)
heartburn every now and then
popping feeling in stomach once that happened a couple times
shortness of breath
racing heart
constipation so bad
gassy

so exhausted. never have energy
increased appetite
super bloated
trouble w memory
back tightness feeling
one sided pulse in right side of stomach
seeing and feeling my heartbeat in my stomach, mainly the right side constantly for a week now

The only way you will know is if you do a test 🤷🏼‍♀️

If you take another brand of test and it is still negative go to the doctor's and see if they can test via bloods? If you're not pregnant then these symptoms need looking into! I still got positive pregnancy tests at 10 weeks.

You could try a different test but my cheap ones were still obviously positive up until I last did one for fun at about 20 weeks, regardless of the hook effect. It sounds like you could have a food intolerance so maybe you could try cutting out dairy or gluten etc and see if anything improves it

You won't get the hook effect at 10 weeks, it's far later in pregnancy. If the test is still negative you need to speak to a doctor.

Lots of those symptoms could be thyroid issue/ low ferritin tbh. You haven’t mentioned absence of period?

Get a decent test and recheck then speak to a dr.

I didn’t bleed at all in November, but was spotting for about 4-5 days, just pink and light brown, maybe a tinge of red, not even enough to soak a tampon (sorry if that’s tmi), so that’s where it gets confusing.

Spotting from December 2-5 actually, I just went back to check my app.

If I buy another test it’s gonna be FRER, and I’m waiting to see if I get my period this month before I buy another one.

I’ll look into thyroid issues, I wouldn’t think it would be low iron, though, I’ve gained like 3-4 pounds (which is unusual for me, as i always stay between 119-123 and now Im fluctuating between 126-127.

I know they are pricey but if you think you are 10 weeks I'd get another test asap as you'll need to be seen by a midwife and get your 12 week scan and screenings booked soon. I hope either way you get some answers x

Yes, for sure. That’s why I came here to ask y’all. I’m scared that I am pregnant, as I would’ve had no prenatal care, tests, ultrasounds, nothing. Just waiting to see if I get my period within the next week, just incase I’m going crazy lol. @GrowBabyGrow

If y’all can, just look at that and tell me your thoughts. I definitely wasn’t trying to get pregnant and I won’t be upset if I’m not, so y’all can be brutally honest lol

Just do a decent quality test, follow the instructions and see what the result is. No one can tell you if you're pregnant by looking at a picture of your abdomen.

It looks like a normal body, possibly slightly bloated.

If you think you may be pregnant, get another test and follow the instructions so you get a better result.

If you think it's the Hook effect, it's easily solved by mixing urine with water before testing (it won't be though)

Ok so what thoughts did you want about the picture of your abdomen? No one can tell you anything useful. If you've missed periods and are having unusual symptoms but negative pregnancy tests then go to the doctor as it could be many things as others have said.

LOL. This is ridiculous. If you've had unprotected sex, yes you COULD be pregnant of course! But no one on here knows if you are, FFS. Just take a test! And what do you want people to say about a pic of your bloated belly?!

If you’ve had sex you could be pregnant. Bloods tests are accurate. No one here can tell you either way.

OP, agree with the above, mix urine with water if you think it could be the hook effect, you’ll have your answer then, or (i assume you’re in the US from the tone of your posts) get a blood test, that’ll be a lot more conclusive than a pregnancy test if you are 10 weeks.

Have you had sex? If so, yes you could be pregnant.
Take another test, book a doctor appointment.

Was simply asking what y’all thought of my situation symptom wise, compared to experiences of those who have been pregnant. I kindly took into consideration when others said to take another test and if it is negative to see a doctor as these could be symptoms of something else going on. Not asking y’all to say “YES! You’re pregnant! Congratulations!” I’m simply asking for the opinion of those who have experienced this. Rude comments = not asked for. YES, I’m going to get another test if I don’t start my period within the next week. YES, I could’ve lived without asking y’all this question. Also, hook effect is possible after five weeks. I’ve done my research, many moms have had this happen to them and continue to carry a baby full term. It doesn’t happen to everyone, it’s a rare occurrence, every woman’s body is different including the amount of HCG they produce and when. I could very well be not pregnant, it’s more likely that I’m not than I am. I had protected sex as I was ovulating and have only spotted, and of course had all the symptoms above. Just a confusing situation.
