Covid Booster

Hey ladies, I’ve just found out I’m pregnant. Quite the Christmas surprise! I had my booster last week and when they asked if there was a chance I could be pregnant I said ‘no’. Silly me.

Has anyone had their booster and said yes? If so, what difference does it make? I’m having a minor freak out and hoping I’m just being daft.

I was 5 dpo at my booster spot on Monday and answered yes. I said it was a possibility I was pregnant. All she said was that she’d just make a note of it and then they asked me to do the 5 min wait after the jab.

There was nothing different medically with the jab (DH had his at the same time and went after me).

I don’t think you have anything to worry about at all. Congratulations on your pregnancy, what a lovely Christmas gift!

I had my second jab the day after I found out I was pregnant at 4 weeks. Had my booster at 30 weeks. Currently 35 weeks and everything's looking fine with the baby.

Won't have made any difference to the vaccine you were given as all boosters are either Pfizer or Moderna and they're both safe for pregnant ladies. I guess they'd have just made a note about it on your record.

I said I didn't think so but what happens if so and they said it's absolutely fine and it's just so they are aware and can advise accordingly if you have concerns. There's plenty of evidence that it's safe. The RCOG is a good place to look if you want to put your mind at rest. www.rcog.org.uk/en/guidelines-research-services/coronavirus-covid-19-pregnancy-and-womens-health/covid-19-vaccines-and-pregnancy/

Ps congratulations!

Oh gosh, thank you all so much. I was hoping it was something related to waiting rather than just immediately leaving as I did. I’ve also been on the champagne all week. Oh well!

Thank you again! It really is the best present I could have dreamt of. Now to tell the DP when he gets home ShockGrin

I'm a vaccinator, we're hoping they remove the pregnancy question because it makes absolutely no difference!
It makes people worry unnecessarily

Congrats

It's been a lovely experience, everyone I've vaccinated has been so lovely and just happy to get it done
