Currently 10 weeks and tested positive for Covid this morning. My bbt normally runs 35.6 - 36.5 but it's currently reaching highs of 37.9. I'm drinking fluids and taking paracetamol as and when. Does anyone have any positive stories regarding the same or similar situations to mine?

Hello, just waking up this thread as in a similar position at eight weeks. Does anyone know what the effect on the baby will be and what I can do to minimise. I have an anxiety disorder and my mind's spiralling.

Are you double jabbed?

theotherfossilsister · 15/01/2022 17:26

Yeah, x 3. Will it be ok? I don't have a lot of symptoms. Just a bit hot and scared this could hurt the baby

Just a little update for you:

These were my symptoms: cough, fever that lasted a day but was managed with paracetamol, sore throat, headache, fatigue, body aches and (weirdly) earache!
My symptoms lasted just under a week in total.

I had my 12 week scan last week and baby was fine Smile

I'm double jabbed and had to wait 28 days before getting my booster after Covid so I plan to get that next week.

My advice would be to make sure you rest, drink plenty of fluids and take paracetamol when needed (but always make sure to follow the correct dosage)

Hope you feel better soon x
