First baby due 31 Dec :) as excited as I am, I’m weirdly in the mood still and have some energy! Despite everyone saying I must be so exhausted

However, DH is a bit, reluctant to. He wants to but a few things are getting in our way.

  1. the bump - even when we try other positions not being as flexible or able to move as easily as I used to definitely gets in the way

  2. he’s worried sex will induce labour Hmm and we’d both like to avoid baby coming over the next few days just due to the possibility of a Christmas birthday

  3. last time we went to, he said he felt something in there? He said he knows it’s not the baby but he did feel like things were ‘full’ in there - can anyone clarify if this happened to them?

So is it normal from about 35 weeks onwards to not really have sex? Start of pregnancy I was scared and then HORRENDOUS symptoms kicked in where I was bed bound and couldn’t lift my head without vomiting. So now when I’m really feeling it there’s other things in the way!

Lots of people don't feel like sex later on.

But the idea it brings on labour is almost certainly a myth (there's no solid evidence it does.)

Your uterus will be sitting lower, so that's probably what he can feel.

Maybe a spoons position with shallow penetration would work? You could use pillows to be comfortable.

It’s not a myth that it can bring on labour. Semen is a natural source of prostagladins which is used in synthetic form to induce labour. So it can.

Yes, it certainly can start labour, OP.
DH and I were having what we thought would be our last chance of a romantic weekend, at 39 weeks pregnant, with DD due the following weekend, but had a spontaneous rupture of membranes while indulging!
