Pregnant again and anxiety is sky high

So I found out thismorning I'm pregnant with DC no4..... 3.5 months after having DC3. My last pregnancy and birth was awful! Was all worry until about twenty weeks but that never really went away because of the worry of the first 20 weeks. I was then induced early due to waters breaking and no active labour. I ended up being taken for an emergency section but delivering with forceps as I was fully dilated by the time I got there but the emergency section was for a placenta abruption. I just don't know if I can go through all that again. Not just the uncertainty in pregnancy but the whole birth experience...

Gosh. First question I suppose...Do you want another baby?

How were the first two births? How old are they now? Is your partner supportive?

My first two births were great, really quick and easy. DC 1 and 2 are now ten and seven so old enough to be a bit more independent. I'm not against the idea of having another child.... perhaps if I could shift the anxiety of what happened last time. I was told after the last birth I should have been on aspirin so don't know if that had something to do with the placenta issues or if I could just ask for a planner section this time. Heads all over the place... unsurprising I suppose. Was on birth control when I've conceived so it has been a bit of a shock

Hi Ladies

Also have extreme anxiety, I'm 11w3d and my pregnancy symptoms have vanished. Books still sore, have headache there and there but worried.
My next scan appointment is in Jan and not sure if I can wait that long.
Also very scared to do private checks as I've had bad outcomes before.

Hoping all goes well, please include me in your prayers, I'm doing this pregnancy on my own.

Op, I think you need to request a 15 min consultation with the maternity registrar or midwife in charge who can explain to you exactly what happened last time and why, so you can understand for yourself that it is unlikely to happen again. His or her details should be in your maternity notes.
I think things are much easier to deal with if I have the facts.

OP contact your local maternity services and ask to access their birth afterthoughts service to discuss your last birth. Talking it all through with someone will hopefully alleviate some of your anxiety.

My last pregnancy ended with a silent miscarriage (no headbeat) at 18w, tested the placenta and baby but nothing came up.

I last saw my dr in the 15 Dec, baby was fine and moving with a strong heart beat. Hope all is still the same
