I know some of the stuff to take for baby, like baby grows, vest, nappies, hat, clothes for going home, but what else am I missing

Blanket, muslin cloths, I wouldn't bother with a going home outfit, sleepsuit is just fine but have a cardigan/thin coat to put over

For baby:

Nappies, wipes, vests, grows, hat, blanket, bottles and formula (if not breastfeeding), muslins, nappy bags, scratch mitts if grows don’t have the hand covers.

Cotton wool pads for nappy changes.

More vests, sleep suits and nappies than you think you'll need - they get mucky quickly.

Hats. A cardigan.

Nail scissors/clippers (or just bite them off)
