Currently 26 weeks pregnant, what does it mean when sometimes tummy goes hard, then back to normal

Normally baby moving or braxton hicks.

Sounds like Braxton Hicks! It can start in the second trimester, I'm 31 weeks and mine have started more recently. It hardens for maybe 30 mins at a time and then goes back to normal. Nothing to worry about in itself!

I’ve had this since the beginning. Midwife told me it could be trapped wind, constipation, baby moving or contractions and nothing to worry about. She told me to lie down and rest when I get them.

I had this too around this time, completely normal

Its definitely braxton hicks. Like practice Labour contractions. I always thought it felt like my belly had a bowling ball in it. Mine were noticeably increased during sex.
