Pregnancy Anxiety

I am 13 weeks and 5 and have felt extremely anxious about everything to do with this pregnancy, I have had two early misscarriages in the past.
Everything seems healthy and normal and I have had my dating scan at 12 weeks and little Bub was moving around. however they never offered for me to see the heartbeat.
I very rarely feel pregnant at the minute as my symptoms have died down and I obviously cannot feel bubba move yet.
Can anyone give any advice on how they combat the anxieties during this limbo of pregnancy?
Also, did you hear the heartbeat at the 16 week midwife appointment?
Thank You in Advance x

Hi,
I’m currently 22 weeks pregnant and had all the same anxieties as you for weeks because of a MMC earlier in the year but also just to being an anxious person.

You just have to keep busy and count down the days, and think that you’ve had a healthy 12 week scan and usually from now this is good news 🥰❤️

You’ll soon be 14 weeks and then it’s not long until your midwife appt which will help, I would suggest chatting to the midwife about your anxiety. I’ve been referred to perinatal mental health although that was at 14 weeks 5 and I’m now 22 and 5 so it might be a bit of a wait. I had my midwife appt at 14 weeks + 5 and she did use the doppler and I was able to hear the heartbeat but not all midwives do because it can be hard at that stage.

Hope you’re okay it was a massively stressful time for me so can imagine for you too but you’re in the second trimester and that’s something to celebrate 🥳

Xx

Hi mommy, I feel exactly the same, I'm 13w2d and my pregnancy symtopms have died down, boobs ain't sore anymore which is a concern cos of my previous history.
How are you feeling now, did the symptoms come back?

I have my Dr's appointment next week and I pray everything is well and baby is growing.

IARCH · 04/01/2022 11:34

@Pumkinsmom my symptoms haven’t come back at all… However I’ve just had my appointment and all is good! Even got to have a listen to babies heart beat!
She reassured me not to worry and it’s completely normal for symptoms to die down!!
Hope your appointment goes well!!

Thank you for the reassurance 🙏 how far are you?

16 weeks today!
I still struggled a lot with anxiety so I have booked a private scan as the wait is too long between the two scans. It wasn’t that expensive and had already put me at ease a little bit!!

It's that really hard stage where your told your pregnant but don't have the signs like baby kicking ect. I heard the heartbeat at the 16 week appointment but I also had anxiety due to a previois loss which I found at my 12 week scan. If you can afford it I would recommend a private scan it really helped me get through those weeks of worry and it broke up the weeks between next scan as it can feel live forever when your in your own head.
