I'm double vaxxed and had my booster last Thurs, but have just got a positive covid test back and feeling v tired, coughing etc. I'm 29 weeks pregnant, should I let my midwife know or only if I'm struggling? Thanks

@mumofmunchkin I'm going to follow this as I'm 30 weeks pregnant today and I've lost my taste & smell so I'm waiting for my PCR in the post, I also feel absolutely bloody rubbish at the moment

You need to let your midwife know, as if you have any additional risk factors at all you may be offered blood thinning injections.
Try to drink plenty and keep as active as you can round the house whilst your isolating.

Thanks, I'll give them a ring. I'm actually waiting for a referral to the antenatal clinic as I was assessed as being higher risk for clots at my 28 week appointment so will definitely call.

I know I’m a few days late I tested positive on Monday and I’m only 12 1/2 weeks and I’m on innohep injections, there’s a higher risk for pregnant women to get blood clots with covid while pregnant. You will be fine though it’s just precaution x
