Choline Supplements

Is taking too much choline during third trimester harmful? I realized my prenatal had choline in it but there’s also lots of food I have daily that contain choline so I am wondering if having too much can cause any defects?

I've never heard of Choline so I just looked it up and everything I see says lots of choline (a B vitamin?) is good in pregnancy and it's possible most people in the U.K. don't get enough, so supplements during pregnancy are recommended. I'm not a medical professional, so I'd suggest you ask your midwife. Why are you particularly concerned?

I have only read good things about it but only at a 500mg and I was taking like 1000mg between 34-38 weeks and don’t know what the outcome is with a higher dose
