What do I do after a bfp?

It's been 6 years since my youngest was born, I'm unsure what I do now I've had a bfp.
Do I contact my gp? And they refer me to a midwife.
Or do I contact the midwives myself?

Any help be great. West Midlands based.
Many thanks
(At due in a couple of days so V early currently)

Congratulations! You need to ring your GP surgery and ask how to refer yourself to the midwife. Wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months!

Call GP receptionist just to ask the process of how to refer yourself to the midwives, it really varies. Some places you do it on the hospital website but mine was by phone. I waited until 6 weeks to call the number so they could schedule me around 8 weeks for booking. I could have left it longer really but I wasn't sure what to do.

Thank you both!
I'll ring up after Christmas as I'll be consultant led due to health so they may want me in sooner. Xx
