C-Section Pre - op over phone? No covid test?

Hello,

I have my c-section on monday and my pre-op tomorrow but its over the phone which is confusing... has anyone had one id expected this would be my weight height covid test ect which would need done in person so not sure what they are phoning for? Has anyone had one recently?

I have my pre-op tomorrow for my section on 30th December, it seems very early, but it is in person not over the phone.

My pre op was over the phone and then they advised me to attend the NHS preadmission testing site at a different time, although was optional at that time (August!). They'll have your height and weight from your notes/midwife. you'll likely see the anaesthetist on the morning of.

Should add I was actually an inpatient at the time and was still over the phone preop! Never did get covid test done either even though I asked and consented ha

I'm also having a section on Monday and pre-op bloods/covid PCR tomorrow in person but the chat with the coordinator is over the phone. I think the phone chat is just to answer any questions I might have and to confirm the time/what to expect. Good luck for Monday 🍀
