Placenta previa!

Hi all!
Had a scan at 21 weeks and due to babies position they couldn’t get a great view but said it looked like low lying placenta. She could see there was at least some placenta between babies head and cervix (which makes me think it’s more previa than low lying from what I’ve read?!)
I’m freaking out a bit due to the lack of info and I won’t be scanned again til 32 weeks!! They’ve also booked me in to see the consultant immediately after my next scan. Is this standard or does this mean the sonographer thinks it’s unlikely to move?!
Any help appreciated, feeling super super anxious 😢

No need to panic, just wait for next scan to see where it's at. I had complete placenta previa, spotted at 22 weeks scan, confirmed at next scan at 28 weeks. It's standard to book consultant for after if they think it might be a complete or very low lying, otherwise they'd be trying to chase the consultant on the day to see you or having to make another appointment just for that.

@Garman thanks so much for your reply. Did you find the whole thing an ok experience? My mum had it but had lots of complications from early 2nd trimester so really worried

Eh, it was all fine until the bleeds started 😬 First tiny one was at 33 weeks, second one was at 34 weeks, third was at 34+1 and was a big one, so it was emcs the next morning. Not a terrible experience overall, but it was my third csection so I was prepared, the big bleed was scary though.

I have this. My placenta was 1.6 cm away from the cervix at 21 weeks. Just had my 32 week scan and it is now 9cm away, so can move considerably.
