Have any of you had this?

I'm 15 weeks +4 and for the last 3 nights have had itchy hands and feet at night. I'm now concerned I may have obstetric cholestasis so am going to my GP tomorrow to hopefully get tested.

I'm really hoping I don't have it as it sounds quite high risk. Can anyone set my mind at rest a little?

MNer prufrock had this and is a bit of an expert, so do a search for her threads on it

I had this mildly with second pregnancy and went through loads of creams and lotions plus fornightly blood test to check liver function (bile levels). The worst case for the baby is they induce you early and for you it's just trying not to scratch and trying to sleep. Having a bath in baby oil and drip drying(no towel)just before going to bed at night it helped me get to sleep.

There is a website which is great www.ocsupport.org.uk/

Good news is it shouldn't affect any future pregnancies, just one of those things. Never had it with my 1st or 3rd child.
