Is anyone in third trimester restricting places you go due to the risk of covid?

Yes!
Have just had my booster jab so feeling a bit more reassured, but I mainly don't want to risk having to isolate away from my family at Christmas, so keeping extra careful for the next 10 days

@SouthwestSis how far along are you?

I'm 34 weeks now, but have been more careful since 28 weeks in general, more meet ups with friends outside, lateral flows for anyone I have seen indoors, avoiding crowded cafes, pubs etc.
Still seeing people, just in a safer way :)

I am. 28 weeks and am officially on maternity leave from school now. Despite booster just didn't want to continue taking the risk. Fingers crossed for you all too.

Yes definitely, 37 weeks about to turn 38 and we're being super cautious ahead of the birth. Quite terrified at the prospect of giving birth alone if husband catches it! It's a shame to cancel so many plans but we're having to weigh up the risks and what's most important to us.

It’s good to hear others are being careful like us. We’ve just cancelled all indoors stuff and are being super careful with who we mix with. I’m 36 weeks so not long to go. But did wonder whether we were over reacting

I am! 35 weeks and also really worried about having to give birth alone if I or my husband test positive.

AliceS1994 · 19/12/2021 08:58

Hope all you ladies stay well!

I'm 28 weeks and my husband has just tested positive, so really worried about catching it, especially as I've just reached third trimester! Christmas plans obviously now all cancelled. No much I can do now but stay home and hope for the best bit feeling very crap about it all. Not usually a super Christmassy person but was feeling really festive with bump this year... Not so much now!

I'll be in my third trimester tomorrow and couldn't care less about catching covid. I go anywhere and everywhere without the slightest precaution just as I have always done. I've been directly exposed to covid countless times due to the germs on frontline dh's uniform as he has treated lots of covid patients.

Would you feel differently about this if you were getting towards the point of giving birth?
