Has anyone had a Moderna booster if they had Pfizer for their original vaccinations?

I'm almost 7 months pregnant and have managed to book a booster for this weekend - as ideally I want to have the extra protection before Xmas/New Year as I can't avoid visiting relatives. I have little concern about getting the booster itself during pregnancy, as I had my 2nd Pfizer vaccination during the first trimester with no issues other than the really sore arm and a mild headache.

But I've had to book at a different vaccination centre this time, so I'm wondering if I'm more likely to be given the Moderna booster rather than another Pfizer dose and I'm slightly concerned that with a different "brand", I might be more likely to get a fever (I've been lucky enough to manage to avoid covid/colds/flu during pregnancy so far, as I work from home and usually socialise virtually or meet people outdoors but this won't be possible with elderly and very young relatives).

My alternative would be to wait for my eventual "6 month" appointment in Jan at my original vaccination centre (it's currently only been 5 months since my 2nd vaccination), where I think the Pfizer booster is much more likely as everyone I know who's been there has been offered that.

Sorry about the long post, but what would you do? Pfizer or Moderna? Anyone had the Moderna booster after their original Pfizer jabs and got a fever afterwards?

I had Moderna booster after 2 Pfizer.
It was yesterday morning and i felt pretty tired and achey all day today. But fine now. No fever.

I think you should just take whatever vaccine you can get as soon as you can get it given the current situation!

I had 2 Pfizer jabs at 14 and 22 weeks and got a Moderna booster yesterday and apart from a sore arm have been absolutely fine.
Hopefully you will be fine, could you ring your midwife for advice?
I saw my midwife today and she said that mixing Pfizer and Moderna was fine (for booster purposes) although it was a bit late as I had it yesterday!

I’ve just had moderna booster after 2xpfizer. What what I’ve read it’s shown to improve your ‘cover’ by having moderna after pfizer. I’m in France.

I had the Moderna yesterday and am fine apart from feeling tired and achey.

I had the Moderna booster after my first two were Pfizer. I didn't have a fever at all but my arm felt much more bruised for a good couple of days.

Actually you should be happy as data show that for those double jabbed with Pfizer using Moderna as a booster gives highest immunity. I got Moderna as a booster and I was just a bit tired, that’s it.

Not me but a friend last week. She had a sore arm but that's all.

Thank you very much everyone for the reassurance - much appreciated Flowers .I'll think I'll just go and have it at the earlier opportunity, whether it's Pfizer or Moderna and I'll just have to take paracetamol if I do get a fever (for the standard aching arm or headache, I'll just grit my teeth and bear it as before!).

I am grateful to be offered the chance to get it earlier btw, I just wasn't expecting to even have to think about it yet - I'm in N. Wales where others I know just got sent a letter with their appointment after at least 6 months (there is no early booking website/walk in centres here at the moment like in England).

Sorry there are a lot of "just's" in that pp! I realised I use too many brackets in my posts, but not how often I repeat words too Blush

I had the Moderna yesterday after two AZ and feel absolutely fine. The clinic I went to was clear that mixing is best for boosters.
