Hi dunno if ne1 remembers me but only two months ago i was two weeks late n getting negative test results. Im now late again and ave done a test and its saying PREGNANT but wot do i do now do a second test in 3 days or ring docs straight away. I dnt wanna depend on the box as iv'e heard lots of stories bt it not being accurate even tho it says on bow its 99%. I have done allot of tests before quite a few years and they have never come up with 2 lines saying im pregnant. If i am then me and my partner will be very happy. What are peoples views on the box tests? Please let me know

As far as I know the test can give false negatives but not false positives - they are testing for a hormone and if it is there, then it is there.

I think you should ring your doctor. And congratulations - as Buda says - you can believe a positive

i rang the docs n they said a box test quite accurate-cnt get midewife till 15th jan tho-ages away so yes i am YIIIPPPPEE!!!!!

you cannot get a false positive, as it tests for HcG which is only in your urine if you are pregnant. docs test will be just the same.

i did cheapy supermarket tests and both positive, both resulting in babies !

make sure you take your folic acid and do so until you are 12 weeks.

so wot do i do now-i booked wiv midwife suppose just sit n wait till then 15th jan ill see her. Do they come to see you or have you got to go to them at doctors-see midwifes?

Yes, basically you just relax and wait. In some areas the midwifes come to you at home, but in both my pregnancies and local health authority areas I've been to them (and I prefer this anyway as they usually take blood and - for some reason - I prefer this to be done at the doctors/hospital!)

A theory ive not got a really big tummy but it aint small either but suddenly feels likes its ballooned i think im only 6 weeks but its hard to tell as i looked pregnant b4 i knew i was-if people get wot i mean-mean i had a tummy now its hard to tell cud i possibly more that 6 weeks-i dunno-some advice-mean im 5ft 10.5 stone thats classed as overweight apprently-cuz i had a tummy already hard to say wether i just think im allot bigger than i am.
