My first pregnancy I went into preterm labour at 30 weeks. It was stopped and I held out until 36 weeks. My second pregnancy I lost my daughter at 22 weeks due to membranes pushing through my cervix. I'm pregnant again and they have told me i would need a stitch at 12-14 weeks. Can any ladies give me advice or tips about the stitch and how your pregnancy continued ? Xx

Had my 1st at 28+1 due to undiagnosed incompetent cervix, with the 2nd i knew I wanted a stitch and got seen at 10 weeks, I then had a stitch placed at 13+4 it wasn't a easy pregnancy lot of time in and out of the hospital, but we made it to 39+1
If your on fb look at joining incompetent cervix uk- pregnancy related, it's a great network of lady's that have either currently got a stitch or have had one

I had a stitch placed at 12 weeks with my second due to damage to my cervix caused by the birth of ds1 at 26 weeks. The stitch held until 24 weeks which was just long enough it was a very tough pregnancy . (Both my boys are now fine)
Having said that my circumstances/health issues are very rare, generally stitches work extremely well and I know several women who did not go into labour until they were over 36 weeks with them in place. There are lots of support groups online that will give you a ton of information and support.
