Had to an emergency stop, 9 weeks pregnant

Looking for a bit of reassurance I guess.... I had to do an emergency stop on way to a doctor's appointment last night when a lady on the pavement stepped sideways into the road. It's a very narrow little road and I really had no choice other than to stop. I think I must have been doing around 20mph, I didn't hit her or anything else but am very worried about a possible miscarriage. I asked the GP and they just said not to worry and moved on.

Should I be worried, have felt a few little aches and pains since similar to those I have already had so nothing severe. No bleeding and have already been feeling sick since being woken by my DD at 4.30am.

Am I likely worrying over nothing? I haven't had my booking appointment yet, so no midwife to ask.

The worry/stress is more of a risk than the emergency stop

At that stage the embryo is tucked down in your pelvis, protected by bone and muscle.

Try not to think about it Thanks

Honestly don’t worry, there’s a lot of cushioning from your uterus.
Good luck for the rest of your pregnancy - not long till your 12 week scan, and then hopefully you’ll feel more relaxed.

Stop worrying, your womb is still safely inside your pelvis at this stage.

Even much later in pregnancy the baby is very well cushioned by the amniotic fluid. You would normally be very severely injured before any harm would come to your baby from a car accident.

Try not to worry Op.
I got knocked off my motorbike at 9 weeks years ago and was told the same as other posters are saying. The embryo is well protected Flowers

Nothing to worry about!

I had a full on car accident and wrote off my car at 25wks and all was fine. Baby is very very well cushioned in there!
