Pelvic floor and stomach muscle issues

I had terrible pain and discomfort when using my pelvic floor muscles for the loo after egg retrieval in IVF, they did a lot of rummaging around in there I am told. I feel this has left me with ongoing discomfort now that I'm pregnant. Or is it normal to feel uncomfortable when using the loo while pregnant? Even a half full bladder feels almost painful and bowel movements feel like I'm using muscles I never used before. Its hard to describe and probably TMI!
I've had urine checks and no UTI.
And when I cough or sneeze it feels like someone is kicking me in the stomach, but I don't get leaking.
Is this normal? I am 18weeks.

Didn’t want to read and run, but this doesn’t sound familiar to me (2+1 pregnancies). Probably worth raising it with your midwife as they might have a better idea of whether this is usual.

Did you have OHSS? I had a lot of discomfort using the toilet up until about 12 weeks but it's resolved now. I also thought I had a UTI!

No I didn't get OHSS thankfully.
I didn't think to ask midwife when I saw her two weeks ago, do you think this is something to bring up at a 22week scan? Or wait until next midwife at 25weeks?
I guess I'm worried if things feel uncomfortable now, what will the pelvic floor issues be like after birth!

Hmm I think I would be inclined to contact the midwife before your next appointment. I'm not sure the sonographer is going to be able to help you at your scan and 25 weeks is a long way away to be uncomfortable! Do you have an email address for them? I do and they're usually pretty quick at getting back to me.
