Don't know how far gone I am!

Hi all, I recently found out I am pregnant which came as a shock as I hadn't had a period since the beginning of September. Ever since I had my daughter my cycles have been messed up and this one was going on forever! At around 45 days I did a pregnancy test which was negative. I waited another couple of weeks and then contacted the doctors to find out what was happening. I had blood tests now about 3/4 weeks ago and everything was negative. My positive test came on day 90 of my cycle!! Confused
I have a booking in appointment for 12th Jan but am going to call about it being sooner (although probably not much chance).
Anyone else has a similar experience?

If the blood test was negative, I would assume it’s a very recent pregnancy. I would take a clear blue digital and see what the week indicator says to give you a rough idea. I know they are not 100% reliable but they have always been accurate with me. Could you book a private scan in a few weeks? Good luck

If the blood test was negative only 3-4 weeks ago then I'd guess you're not far at all, at most maybe 6 weeks? So 12 January sounds like a usual time for a booking appointment. But I can understand wanting to get more certainty sooner. Can you contact EPU and ask if they could scan you to get an idea?

Thank you both for your reply. We assume it's early days too, the Clearblue said 2-3 weeks.
I did call the midwife a couple of days ago and they said that if I was going to be 12 weeks the same sort of time as the booking in appointment I would get a scan sent through too.

My periods are wonky too but midwives have to use your actual period. So I went to my 12 week scan and was only 7. It was fine, just rearranged for the right time.

So I wouldn't worry too much, go in Jan and if its early, theyll send you again

That's good. Well if they used my actual periods I'd be about 14 weeks now! They've gone from the negative test in October. Hopefully I'll get a scan through for Jan.

And I'm impressed they listened, I basically got "this is how the computer does it!". But even so, don't worry about it being out, they measure for gestation and use that regardless

It's weird isn't it. I suppose we should count ourselves lucky as years ago they had none of this did they.
