Think I’m trying to hold onto any hope of the possibility of a Christmas BFP Sad I’m 8DPO and my PMS symptoms have well and truly kicked in today so I think I’m out this month again. It was never this mentally and emotionally difficult when we were TTC our DS!

I’m 8dpo too, having lots of cramps. Fingers crossed for both of us!

I'm 6 dpo, had really sofe boobes even my nipples are sore but it could be PMS as i seem to have a big build up to it evey month. Like you when i tryed for my first child, i didn't do half of the things I'm doing now and yet this time it's just not happening!!

Hi @Teacaketotty and @whymewhyme
The last two cycles I convinced myself I was pregnant and got BFNs - turned out the symptoms were just PMS ones that I wouldn’t usually notice. Got the same PMS symptoms this month so I’m sure AF will appear :( I’ve tried to be more relaxed about it this month but I still couldn’t help but get my hopes up and I really wanted a Christmas BFP. We got pregnant straight away with our DS, it’s been a few months now TTC#2 and no hint of a line.

It's really tough isn't it. I got pregnant first cycle with my DD and now we are 15 months of trying, so frustrating! Try and keep the hope xxx

Can’t believe I’m writing this but got my BFP today! After a year of trying - I really hope you all have some Christmas luck too!

Moonshine160 · 18/12/2021 16:24

Wow congratulations @Teacaketotty, what an amazing Christmas gift Smile I’ve got all my usual AF symptoms unfortunately. I haven’t tested but I’m due on Monday. Did you get any symptoms different to normal?

Thank you! I’m due Tuesday but tested on a whim. No symptoms, I’ve been cramping on and off all week but apart from that feel as normal.

Really hoping this is your month too!

I had my Christmas BFP this time last year, I had my usual symptoms amplified, especially my boobs, mine were always tender about a week beforehand but that month they were so tender it woke me up, as we had been unprotected almost a year by that point I tried not to think too much about it but tested when I was one day late. Currently cuddling my almost 4month old while he sleeps.

Good luck! I hope this is your month 🥰

Keeping things crossed for you! I was convinced that it was just AF but do remember that my boobs were more tender than usual although at the time I thought I was imagining it. It wasn't until I felt really nauseous when the food arrived when out for dinner with friends that eat meat (I'm veggie but don't normally feel a strong aversion to meat) that I thought 'huh that's not normal PMS'. Next day was a BFP. Completely relate to wanting it around a special occasion, I was desperate to be pregnant by my birthday and wasn't. If you don't get the Christmas positive then do something nice to 'treat' yourself, maybe even something you couldn't do if you were pregnant like eat really gooey cheese! Best tip a friend gave me when TTC
