Pfizer/Moderna booster after AZ - anyone pregnant who's had this?

I asked on the other thread but couldn't see a response.

I had both AZ jabs in March and May. Got pregnant a couple of weeks after my second jab. I'm now due the booster on Thursday, I'm 30 weeks pregnant and also had Covid in early August.

Who here is pregnant and had the AZ jabs to begin with and then has been boosted with Moderna or Pfizer? Any side effects? Also, has anyone had Covid before their booster and were the side effects any worse? Just not relishing the idea of a banging headache and fever which seems to be the case if you've actually caught Covid in between jabs.

I just got my Moderna booster at 8 weeks preganant after two initial doses of AZ. I had pretty bad side effects after my first AZ dose including terrible headache, muscle aches, fatigue and basically feeling off for about a week. The side effects after the Moderna booster were pretty mild, just a sore arm and mild muscle aches for a day. Also felt fatigued but I feel fatigued all the time at the moment. No headache or fever this time.
Felt much safer afterwards (or will do in a few weeks once the immunity has set in) even though I'm being pretty careful about Covid at the moment.

My friend who is now 37 weeks had a pfizer booster after 2 AZ doses and she had nothing more than a sore arm.
Your protection will definitely be wearing off as you get into the new year so I would certainly book a booster now you are into your third trimester and into the most risky part of pregnancy.

I had Pfizer booster at 18 weeks (now 25) after having AZ in January and March. Had a severe headache after the first dose, but nothing after the second. Not had Covid either (long may that continue). I've had zero side effects from the booster, not even a sore arm.

Thanks all, that's reassuring. I had a golf ball lump on my arm after the first AZ that lasted for weeks. Nothing after second dose. Hoping for no side effects after the booster 🤞

I had the AZ for first and second vaccines pre pregnancy then Pfizer booster at 20 weeks. My arm was quite painful for a couple of days after the booster but otherwise no side effects whatsoever, hope you have the same experience. Smile

Doctor at vaccination centre said pfizer is safer for the booster than moderna and im 24 weeks. Had sore arm and headache but otherwise ok!

I had Astra Zeneca for my first two doses and basically felt hung over after each and had them before I was pregnant. I assumed it would be the same or worse for my booster because I still had some morning sickness and was feeling rather delicate overall, but I had no side effects, not even a sore arm. I had Pfizer as that’s what was on offer at the clinic and was 14 weeks pregnant at the time. Good luck @DappledOliveGroves! x

@DappledOliveGroves I also should mention that I had a mild breakthrough Covid over the summer as well.

I had my first two AZ in March and May and then got pregnant in June! I’m now 27 weeks and just had Pfizer. After my first AZ I felt horrendous - I was in bed for about 3 days. Feel fine after the booster, just a sore arm. It was probably just me being stupid but in my head ‘booster’ meant a new vaccine formula and that made me uncomfortable & apprehensive to take it but I asked when I was there and you’re just getting a dose of the same vaccine that people have been taking for months so that made me feel better.
