Induction for reduced movements

Hi ladies- I’m 38+4 weeks pregnant and was admitted to hospital for monitoring yesterday following bleeding.
I was examined and am 3-4cm already but no regular contractions - the consultant who examined me advised that if necessary it was already possible to break my waters.
Since being in I have noticed reduced movements in baby & have been put on the tracer 4 times and everything looks OK but I’m still concerned something isn’t quite right.
The consultant is coming to see me at 10am on their rounds - I’m just wondering what the likelihood of me being induced is?

If your instincts are something isn't right it's definitely worth making this very clear. As to whether you'll be induced only the doctor can really give you those options. At 38w plus though that's basically full term so baby should be pretty ready and if you're dilated already induction may be fairly straightforward. The most important thing is baby is delivered safely and you are well cared for. Good luck OP. Enjoy meeting your newborn
