Pregnant and terrified - recurrent miscarriages :-(

Just can't think straight. Does this test look positive? It's on the day of missed period and within the time limit for reading the test. (+ Means pregnant, - means not pregnant). It is a very faint line.

We've lost 3 babies this year, I'm so scared 😞

Also private recurrent miscarriage saying something completely different to NHS so no idea what to think 😞

Private say premature ovarian insufficiency = poor quality eggs = miscarriages.

NHS say I do have low ovarian reserve but my egg quality will be fine because I'm only 31. NHS saying I need a hysteroscopy to know what's going on (currently on huge waiting list for this and not waiting to try again as I have such low ovarian reserve).

Any help or advice desperately sought!

Hey OP

I didn't want to read and run.

Am not sure what advice to give you that would be any help but just wanted to say I am here if you need a chat about anything

I'm so sorry to hear hear you are feeling anxious. I know what you mean. For me this pregnancy has been one of absolute terror. I have been scared every single day. In the beginning I focused on getting through one day at a time. Now I'm struggling through the week. The only thought that kept me going was: if I want my baby I have to get through this fear. The only alternative is not a baby at all. It is completely understandable you are feeling like this- so be extra kind to yourself.

I would follow what the NHS says, not the private clinic. If you are still young, you may have less eggs due to diminished reserves but there is no reason why these wouldn't be genetically correct. This sounds really cynical but there is a real market in getting women to go for donor eggs. This is how fertility clinics earn a lot of money. I did 4 rounds of IVF and I found they are quite quick in suggesting you won't be successful and need to consider 'alternatives'. I have absolutely no problem with donor eggs and I think it's wonderful solution for many women but if you're 31 you still have so many chances. It's very unfair to make you worry like that.

If you are pregnant can you take extra progesterone? For a small number of women this can be really quite effective.

Hang in there and take care x

Thank you so much, feeling very isolated tonight and you've all made me feel so much more positive (husband on a rare evening out).

Went and spent a fortune on a clearblue digital and it says I'm pregnant so fingers crossed.

I'm taking progesterone this time, desperately hoping it makes the difference.

Thanks so much for your kindness, it's made a huge difference for me xx

NHS consultant said the same thing... Some private consultants just trying to make money sadly 😞. And they know people are desperate for a baby so easily follow what they advise.

Sorry to hear what you've been through, I really hope everything works out for you xx

I really really hope it works out for you.

I'm 32, three 1st trimester MCs, & I'm now 15 weeks with what we hope is our lucky one.

I had progesterone for the first 12 weeks and will take aspirin throughout. Never made it to the recurrent mc clinic as they wouldn't refer til no3 and we conceived again before we were offered an appointment.

@AwkwardPaws27 thank you! This pregnancy will be the one for you. I’ve been wondering if the aspirin trick works. Honestly when I started bleeding I started taking some aspirin. Don’t know if it’s helping or hurting, but this whole app suggests it’s really helpful.

I have my fingers crossed. The waiting game is killing me.

@AwkwardPaws27 wrong chat response, but all the best wishes to you and all the ladies in here hoping for the best.
