Scanxiety

I have my first scan tomorrow and I'm unbelievably nervous about it. I think I'll be around 9+1 weeks from my dates but this pregnancy has really felt different to my first (12 year old son).

First time round I had quite bad nausea and this time I feel like my only symptom is no period and cramps/stretching pains. The lack of symptoms are making me worried about the scan showing that something isn't right/hasn't progressed.

Not sure what the question is that I'm asking here, maybe whether anyone has had a similar experience?

@leahpaige I'm the same, I had a panic attack before going to my 12 week scan as I was so convinced something would be wrong. It was all ok but I have another one tomorrow and I'm unbelievably scared, having nightmares the lot! I don't really have any advice but wanted to say I know how you feel and how difficult it is.
I was told there is more chance of things going well than getting bad news and tried to hold on to that. Strength of symptoms isn't really an indication either so please don't worry too much about that. Some people never have symptoms and some people are bed ridden with sickness. I hope your scan went well and you can relax a little bit!

Same here! Despite of having had two perfect scans at 7 and 10 weeks, I'm terrified of my dating scan in 10 ten days 😩😩 Scared of being told that I've lost my rainbow baby 😥😥

@Lostintranslatio @Mugcake it's a horrible feeling isn't it - the build of anxiety. I woke up at 6 this morning not able to get back to sleep. I'm glad you've both had positive scans though it's a sign that things are meant to be 😁😊

My scan went really well! Baby is exactly at the dates we thought it would be, measured at 9+2 and saw the heart beat and little tiny limbs moving around 💖

@LeahPaige congrats on your scan 🎊🎊 It is so exciting when we can see them like little acrobats in there 😍🥰

Yay! Oh that's such good news! Smile it's so funny seeing them jump around isn't it? I was really surprised at how bouncy they are haha
Hopefully we'll all start to relax a bit more soon!
