Hi ladies,

I went for a scan at 6+1 and baby was only measuring 2.8mm and no heartbeat. I have to go back for another scan but wondered if anyone else had the same and everything turned out okay?

It's very very unlikely my dates are wrong so would love to hear from others about their experiences with this.

Just to add, this is the second time I'm typing this out as lost my post the first time which was much more detailed 😂

Thanks so much for reading xx

Hi lovely,

So sorry that I do not have good news.

Went to my "8 weeks" early scan and was measuring only 5.5mm ish which was 5-6weeks. I was totally sure on dates too and ended up as a missed miscarriage which I have passed a week ago.

I hope yours is just a blip but here to talk if not xxx

Lostintranslatio · 11/12/2021 17:19

At 6 weeks it might still be early to see a heartbeat. Better to wait until week 7.

But her case is different. She's officially only 6+1 weeks

@Cruiser123 I was just trying to say that I measured 6 weeks which was around 5mm. Sorry didn't come across very clearly x

I was measuring 5wks at 6wks, then 6wks at 7wks. Had a private scan at 8wks & had jumped to 7wk 5 days. To the best of my knowledge, everything’s going smoothly & im now 11wks 3 days ☺️

Bubblemonkey · 11/12/2021 19:23

⬆️
No heartbeat at my 6wk scan, reckoned I was too early. Had one a week later.

Thanks so much to everyone for responding, it means so much. The positive stories really give me hope ♥️

@FirstTimerHan so sorry for your loss, must have been so difficult xx

@ProseccoPartyPoppers wishing you all the best for your next scan! 💛 xx

I saw a heartbeat at 6 weeks 0 days after bleeding.

Trinxsy · 11/12/2021 22:28

At six weeks, I saw one empty sac! At nine weeks, twins with their own sacs and heart beats :)

JustOneMoreStep · 11/12/2021 22:51

6+0 and no heartbeat. IVF so no question of dates. Rescanned at 7+0 and strong heartbeat located.

shannonl26 · 11/12/2021 23:25

I didn’t see a heartbeat until after 7 weeks :)

YummyMummyXoX · 12/12/2021 04:28

I had an early scan at what I thought was 5+4 according to app due to light bleeding nothing to see only a sac. Was rescanned at 6+4 and there was a heartbeat but I was measuring less than 6 weeks at that point. I did catch up at 12 week scan to apps gestation. Hope all is well at your next scan too Xx

SecondStarFromTheRight · 12/12/2021 04:57

Had an early scan for health reasons at 6 weeks with no heartbeat and everything ended up fine. Hope it is for you too.

Missnicolinda96 · 12/12/2021 07:00

I had a scan at 6+5 and saw a heartbeat, but I saw my mw beforehand (according to lmp I was 8 weeks) she said I probably shouldn't go until 8 weeks so they will definitely see a heartbeat if its viable. What I saw was incredibly tiny and I quite possibly wouldn't have seen a heartbeat at 6 weeks. That said, I can't say it won't be bad news. All the best and good luck x

CherylPorter350 · 12/12/2021 07:44

With my youngest I had a scan at 6+5 to date the pregnancy and I saw a tiny flicker....I was told I was lucky to see it so early.

Botanica · 12/12/2021 07:52

When I've been 100% sure of my dates, it's never been good news for me, not seeing a heartbeat before 6 wks.

Last pregnancy was rescanned and saw a clear heartbeat a week later which they told me looked good, but it was a sign things already weren't on track and later miscarried about ten weeks.

I think there's just as many positive stories as negative ones so please don't read too much into others experiences. Hope all goes well at your next scan.
