Is this pain normal? Unsure whether to call midwife

I'm 34 weeks and my bump is so painful that I can't sleep. It seems to be worse when I'm sat rather than lying down and it feels like a stitch almost. I had it underneath my bump to begin with but now it's all over or up the top.

Does this sound like I should call someone? Hate to feel like I'm bothering the midwives!

Contact them they will want you to. My Midwife always said if you're thinking 'should I contact midwife/maternity assessment' the answer is always yes and not to wait do it straightaway. They will be happy you called them.

Call triage and see what they say. If it's so painful you can't sleep they'll probably want to see you in person.

I had a similar type of pain from about 33 to 35 weeks. I couldn't get comfortable when sitting but wasn't as bad when lying down. When my baby shifted position after 36 weeks and moved down lower the pain seemed to go and I was a lot more comfortable. If does sound normal but I would say that if you are worried please talk to your midwife. Pregnancy is a very worrying time

Thank you for your replies. It is a really worrying time! I'm having some lower back ache too and it hurts my stomach to move so it's probably best I call triage Sad
