Measuring 42w at 35w

Hello :)

My fundal height is measuring about 42 weeks when I'm only 35 weeks. My midwife referred me for a scan as she was suspecting polyhydramnios. The normal amount of amniotic fluid is between 5 - 20. Mine is 19.8, which is still in the normal range, although just about. My midwife was saying that while they're not diagnosing me with polyhydramnios, I could definitely go into preterm labour as my uterus might not be able to hold on for longer. Has anyone had this? I'm hoping that Baby can hold on for a bit longer!

Try not to worry to much they often surprise you.

Our 2nd had bad polyhydramnios and was a big baby too (10lb 12oz), he didn't come out until 40+5 and I was 1cm dilated at 39+6 (lazy bum). Honestly the uterus is an amazing thing and can hold a lot more than you'd think, our twins were 17lb combined and one had mild polyhydramnios. I was HUGE but they were quite happy to stay put at 38wk when they were evicted vis elcs as breech.

Amazing! Thank you so much, this sounds very reassuring.
