Hi all, I'm trying to read my scan picture. It was done at 7 weeks 4 days but the sac looks a lot smaller than the other pictures I'm seeing from around this time? What do you think?

Also hoping that anyway can tell me what the black space inside the white lining is on the left hand side too? I'm useless!

Hey @winkles23 I worried about my scan pic this week too. I'll try and attach it... the sonographer didn't mention any concern and I also called my fertility clinic. They basically said all sacs look different and as long as the embryo is progressing that's the main thing. I did google lots of scan pics and there's a few 7, 8, 12 weeks etc where the embryo/baby looks quite snug xx

@Rachae sorry to hear you've been worrying too! I've been finding new things to worry about every day! I do remember that during the scan, as the probe was being moved around the sac would change in size due to the positioning so that's reassuring I guess!
Just wish I had bought more pictures now instead of just this one x

@winkles23 absolutely! Each pic had a different scale and yours looks very zoomed in. I wouldn't worry and I definitely think they would have told us both if there was anything of concern xx

I wouldn't worry id the sonographer did not express any concern. If you see my scan photo the sac looks very narrow and elongated, however when I checked the videos I was sent, the sac varies in size and shape as she was moving the wand around the belly.

@Lostintranslatio definitely, the sonographer actually said that everything looks as it should when I was at the scan. I think I was just having a wobble earlier lol thank you

A little update: I had another scan today and baby has developed and the sac definitely varies in size during the scan. I should have been dated 10 weeks judging by due date at her last scan but was dated 9+4 but the sonographer said that it's quite common for dates to change in early pregnancy. I'll attach a pic ☺️

Lovely picture op!

Just to say I had the same at my 7 week scan after ivf - so I knew my dates. She measured baby (6 days behind) and uterus size (even more behind). Had a private 10.5 week scan for NIPT and baby was measuring a few days ahead as 11 weeks. Had a few concerning weeks as well with my smaller pregnancy sac!

Best of luck to you for the rest of it!
