Time off sick in 1st trimester

Hello,
I am 11 +2 weeks and I am currently off sick yesterday and today, I have had a few other days since I found out.
I feel guilty, but generally feel so weak and nauseaus, although haven't been sick. I know I'm protected but I feel bad as before my pregnancy I had a lot of sick leave for thyroid issues and was put in to formal warnings in the past and struggled a lot.
Really hoping it settles a bit soon.

Anyone else had to take time off sick?

I work for the NHS in an admin role and my work is currently very stressful, we are understaffed and can't get things done. It doesn't help my situation.

@Motherofrabbits87 sorry to hear you're feeling rubbish. 1st trimester is definitely the hardest

I have been signed of for several weeks due to sickness , I am not 14 weeks and still of work. Like you I am in a busy work place and I feel so guilty, but I know if I went to work I would not be able to do my job properly

The thing people have always said to me , if you felt this way are you were not pregnant, would you still go to work ? Probably not

Maybe speak to your doctor , and feeling sick is just as bad as getting sick sometimes

Take time to rest for you and your baby

All the best x

Worth being a member of a trade union so you can access more advice and support in relation to work and pregnancy related sickness OP.
And ask your work for a risk assessment.
Hope you're feeling better soon!
