Help?!

Hi there I had my 12week scan, previously before this I had an emergency scan at 10weeks as I was spotting blood all was fine … then last week I had my 12week scan they prescribed me aspirin due to my bmi being high.. then Monday night I had BLOOD but only when I wipd never enough to go onto a pad… I have. Instantly phoned gps and epau and trying to get another scan before my 20 weeks one is like pulling teeth… does anyone know of this happening to them, what to do and is this normal!

Yes, I had a check for infection and cervical check all of which was normal and therefore they didn't feel the need for a scan as I had my 20 weeks one about 2 weeks after the bleeding started (lasted for 10days). Try to be reassured if they are not concerned, but I would ask for the above checks for peace of mind.

I never had this with my first pregnancy, and I had a Mc before This pregnancy, so automatically worried! 😞… I suppose I will just monitor it for the next 8 week until my 20week scan .. fingers crossed everything will be ok x

Hi, I had this after my 12 week scan, only when wiping. I rang maternity triage and they told me to go in and did a quick scan on a hand held scanner and checked me over. Helped me relax and know all was OK.

Did they say what it was with the bleed? The bleeding has subsided but it is more now just brown discharge , sorry for tmi 🙈

Most of my friends had light bleeding similar to what you describe with no issues / healthy babies at the end.

I seem to be slightly weird /unusual in not having any.

I was/am still very stressed about the pregnancy. Its generally a worrying and anxious time

@Totalwasteofpaper, thanks for the comment, I have never exsperinced this in my previous pregnancy it was just plain sailing so to now have this after a miscarriage, I am like a bag of nerves! Hope your pregnancy is going well 🙂

I had similar bleeding to this at 18 and then again at 32 weeks. Red on wiping but not enough for pad or anything then soon turned to brown. They originally thought it was because I had a low lying placenta, then they thought it was just an irritated cervix. Everything was fine though and I had internals to check my cervix was closed to be sure. I went to hospital both times to be checked over and also because I am rhesus negative so required anti-d. Try not to worry (I know it's hard) - hope everything goes ok

They said I'll probably never know for sure but the cervix etc is so sensitive that it was probably due to irritation/burst blood vessels. Hope you're okay!

Yeah the midwife said maybe an irritated cervix when I called but you know when you just want piece of mind! But Thankyou for all your messages made me feel better ☺️

You're very welcome. I was so worried when it was me! Mine stopped after 2 days and I am not 25 weeks and haven't had anything since. Wishing you a happy rest of your pregnancy!

Hi again!
So I couldn’t rest after having blood again yesterday so I managed to get a scan at the epau…. Baby is all fine and well 🥰🥰 didn’t want to face us though and kept showing us their behind 🤣🤣I did have quite abit after the scan on wiping but they assured me they could not see anything near the baby or my ovaries … advised to monitor it and maybe see gp if it dosent calm down and have a cervix check
