Just wondering when people tend to buy their travel systems. When is it too early?

I think I was at around 7 months pg when I got it for dd - I figuered I didn't want it taking up too much space too soon, but on the other hand I would get less inclined to go shopping the bigger I got. Did a big shop all in one go and got everything in the one day.

got ours for dd at about 7/8 months. Sometimes they might take a while to order in if not in stock

Thanks guys, due in feb and with christmas in the way, makes it a bit harder - don't fancy trekking about in the sales!

We had been looking at possibilities, but our decision to buy was brought forward by a sale at Mamas & Papas which worked at about £200 off their normal prices. Purchased at about 5/6mths

If you want to wait for sales to try & save some money, I would suggest you decide now a shortlist of the travel systems you want then send other half in (or maybe even possible over the phone?) when the sales arrive or if you go there are specific places you can go to and be in & out quickly.

I brought mine at mothercare at 6 months but they kindly stored it for me as i was moving house and then i picked it up 2 weeks prior

got mine at about 8 months PG. mothercare delivered it in a few days - a day earlier than they hadsaid. i was most impressed. toys r us tend to have good sales/discounts, as do kiddicare, particular if you are after something cheap and cheerful like a Graco.
