Sac/yolk no baby

Hi I went for a reassurance scan as previous miscarriages. I thought I was 6 weeks 3 but really I was 5 weeks 4. I wasn't expecting a full on baby scan but just some reassurance to say all OK, just some hope.
The lady who done the scan was pretty much like did you take a test? There is no baby, it's a miscarriage. But the nurse was telling me not to worry, as the sac and yolk was measuring the size it should be and probably just to early. I am booked back in on Friday being 7 weeks 4 days. Everyone is telling me it be OK but it might not be.
Has anyone else had this?

I am getting all the symptoms (sickness/peeing more/sore breasts/tired) but that could still be q missed miscarriage which I am really stressing about

Hi I went for a scan at 5 week 5 days due to pain and only seen the yolk and sac was then scanned at 7 weeks 5 days and seen a little blob with a heartbeat that was baby. Am now nearly 14 weeks had my dating scan last week ans all is fine. I think what they seen was completely normal for the age. I even had spotting and brown discharge between both scans and was fine.

See av had no blood whatsoever.. I have had some cramps at beginning but nothing major but qm sure that's normal but still scared. Everyone says " aww u be fine" but I dont want to be like yes defo and am not. I just want to hear them say all is OK. 😢😢

I’ve had this happen to me twice, with my second and fourth pregnancy. The first was a positive outcome, Ds is nearly 17 now! Second time wasn’t good news.

There really isn’t a yes/no answer, it really could go either way, but my fingers are crossed that your scan gives you good news xxx

I had two previous miscarriages and both were empty sac at 6 weeks... No further progression.
They may not see a heartbeat that early, but I would think they will be alittle blob or something at least.
Sorry, I don't want to discourage you. I hope this is not the case with you... I just know how nerve-racking this whole thing is...

@New2thislaura21 I know it’s such a worrying time but for your pain to have stopped and have had no bleeding is a really good sign I know a poster here has said both her miscarriages ended in empty sac at 6 weeks but like I said I didn’t see a heartbeat or anything in the sack at 5+5. Ive attached my 5+5 scan and my 7+5 one to see the different 2 weeks can make. I know it’s so so hard not to worry but if your pregnancy symptoms are still there and no bleeding or pain you’ve got more reasons to be positive than to not be.

See its all mixed I've heard, I've heard that it's normal at 5 weeks 4 days as the sac was measuring at what I should be. Midwife said its very early to see also and that's why they dont advise you to go till 7/8 weeks.

I think it's wrong of her to just be like oh there's no baby you've had a miscarriage. That early on there's other things that indicate a pregnancy on ultrasound before the actual baby makes an appearance like thickening of uterus first then sac etc. They couldn't see an actual baby on mine till about 8 weeks. I'm also behind but by 7 days but just wondered if they said there's no pregnancy how would they know youre 5 weeks 4days? I had reallyyyy bad cramping that early too btw. Early pregnancy is extremely worrying and stressful. My fingers and toes are crossed for you x

My sac and yolk are measuring at 5 weeks 4 days but no baby. I haven't had any bleeding and still having all symptoms but a missed miscarriage you still get all those.
Q no u ladies can't tell me I need to wait just looking to see others experience.

I think she was out of order saying that, as she was like how many tests have you took.. I said 5 (just making sure) and no period, all symptoms etc so if I wasn't then why would there be a sac or ayolk? The nurse came out after me as I was in tears and said am measuring at what I would be for 5 weeks 4 days so not to worry just book in again.

My first early scan was just the yolk sack and we where worried. I’m 22 weeks pregnant now so fingers crossed for you too! We called the baby yokey for ages 🤣

That's a horrible way for the sonographer to speak to you.

It's hard but I think you just need to wait and see what's happened in a couple of weeks.

At that gestation they can't know for sure- when I had an early scan before they told me they always scan again in 2 weeks before confirming a miscarriage because they can't say for sure at that gestation.
