HCG after surgical management of MC

Hi,

I’m really looking for some help. I was told at 10 weeks that my twins no longer had heart beats, I opted for surgical management and had a ERPC almost 3 weeks ago (19/11). I think because I needed some control or re assurance I’ve been testing my hcg every morning, it initially got lighter quickly but it seems to have really slowed down and still a faint positive. This is this mornings . . would you say it’s positive still? Picture taken in test time frame. I’m due to take the test they gave me Friday and will call the epu if it’s positive. I’m just driving myself crazy, I just want to be able to move on but don’t feel I can until everything’s negative and back to normal again 😢

Thanks to anyone reading xxx

Hi @Hello47, I opted for medical management last month due to a MMC at 10 weeks. I was given the same information that I needed to take a test after 3 weeks and contact the hospital if it was positive. My test at 3 weeks looked very similar to yours and I decided not to contact them as it was so faint. I took another test at 5 weeks and it was 100% negative.

Not sure if that’s the correct advice to follow but I thought it would be useful to share my experience.

I’m sorry for your losses Flowers

Hi @BlueForYou3

So sorry for your loss Flowers and hope you’re doing okay.

Thanks for sharing your story, it’s so helpful to hear similar stories and everything being okay. My thoughts were because it was twins it might taken longer then the standard 3 weeks. Really hoping it goes negative by Friday but from what I’ve read on hear it seems it does take longer for a lot of people. They’re not even open over the weekend so might leave it until next week and give it a few more days. Wish they routinely scanned after! Can I ask when you got AF?

Xxx

Thank you @Hello47 Flowers

AF hasn’t arrived yet, I’m currently on CD37 since I started the medical management. I started using Ovusense again to measure my BBT once the bleeding stopped and it confirmed ovulation on CD29 so I’m expecting AF to arrive sometime this week.
