Started getting brown discharge yesterday morning and then again this morning sorry if it's TMI seems to be worse after a bowel movement! I didn't have this with my daughter so getting worried, I spoke to the GP yesterday and I had a scan and everything was ok but I still feel so full of worry! Has anyone else had this happen?

Is it around the time you would have had a period if not pregnant ?

I had brown discharge around about 8 weeks, my little one is 5 months old now .

I had this at about 20 weeks and it turned out to be a low lying placenta.

I had this in my 4th pregnancy, baby is now 9 months old. Brown discharge is usually due to light bleeding from small blood vessels in the cervix. The bleeding you need to be worried about is red (fresh blood) and more than just discharge.

@GoodnightGrandma I suppose it would be xx

Hi I had this at 6 weeks for about a week mostly brown with a little bit of pink. I was very constipated early on and it was worse after a bowel movement aswell. Brown is usually old blood. I have had scans and all is good now nearly 14 weeks. I was told could be old implantation bleeding the moved with bowel movement.

Thanks for all your response, just going to keep an eye on it. It's not getting any worse but still spotting, just makes you so worried 😔

I had a mixture of red and brown spotting for 10 days at 19 weeks. Worried myself sick for nothing, i had a cervical check and tested for infection and all clear. It pretty much resolved when I started taking things easier. As said above, brown spotting can be perfectly normal but very worrying!

Just an update, had another scan at hospital on Saturday, they couldn't find any cause for the bleeding and all seemed well and luckily it has stopped since x

I had this very recently ! Got checked and scanned and everything all okay . I share your anxieties though - glad everything is okay with your little one. Good luck x
