Constipation after cervical cerclage!

Hi everyone. I am suffering from constipation after emergency cerclage surgery at 16 weeks. What are your tried and tested interventions here, medication (lactulose) or not (diet)?Concerned about the pressure of the stools on the stitch. What was your routine to get a handle on constipation throughout pregnancy? Anyone been in the same situation after this surgery?

After I had my DS I was badly constipated & had stitches from a tear. I ate half a punnet of grapes & drank loads of water while BF at night & that really helped!
